Orlando, Florida, is about to experience a new fast food experience with the opening of a Cousins Subs. The Wisconsin-based franchise announced that they have come to terms with a franchisee that will be opening the first store in the state in 2012.
For those not familiar with Cousins Subs, the store will offer deli-style sandwiches with freshly sliced meats and vegetables and will serve French fries and grilled sandwiches.
The corporate office of Cousins Subs feels that the Orlando market is a great growth opportunity for their business. Part of the success of this expansion is the new program called The Founders Program, that Cousins Subs recently announced making business ownership more affordable. The Founders Program is available to any franchisee making an initial multi-unit investment. As part of this initial investment, Cousins Subs will reinvest all franchisee fees into local store marketing for the property. The fees are $25,000 for the first store and $17,500 for each additional store.
This program has given investors the opportunity to be self-employed and get the support needed to make the venture successful. With programs like the Founders Program, Cousins Subs has reduced its capital requirement from $300K to 200K net worth. The company is planning on opening at least 15 new stores in 2012.
Cousins Subs was founded in 1972 and it specializes in East Coast-style submarine sandwiches made from a variety of fresh ingredients on freshly baked breads. The restaurant also severs salads, soups, chips and soft drinks.
Starting your own franchise takes a solid team which includes the expertise of an attorney experienced in franchising. They understand all of the details that will protect the interest of your business and they understand what it takes to operate a business.
